I remember having a conversation with my sister soon after mum's ex (Roger) moved in with us, saying that I didn't like him and I thought he'd moved in too soon and I wished he wasn't there. And of course, he overheard us.

He didn't take the hint, though. He was on the scene for a long, long time after that, sadly.
