day 6 of 30...

Today, I get to talk about anything that tickles my fancy.
And, in honour of the fact that I've just put them up, I'm going to share my Christmas decorations with you lucky, lucky people.
Piccies and a few words
First of all, a couple of photos of Tree 543-892:

He doesn't look all that impressive and he's a bit untidy and I need to do even up his tinsel a bit, but at least he's up and mostly done.
Now, this chap here is Santa:

I bought Santa at Endsleigh a few years ago. He cost me £40 but he's just about my favourite Christmas decoration and I always feel sad when he goes back up into the loft each January.
I can't remember where I got this reindeer thing, but he's my second favourite Christmas decoration:

The little silver things are tea light holders, and the brown thing on the back of the shelf is a reindeer which my sister made at primary school and which is another decoration that comes out every single year. And the two wooden carved things are year-round residents in the living room - a warthog on the left and a wildebeest on the right - they both came from Kenya. The poster on the wall is a montage of clips from Humphrey Bogart films which is mum's.
And this is Fairy Nuff. Fairy Nuff sat at the top of our Christmas tree every year from when I was tiny to just a couple of years ago, when we bought a tree that she wouldn't fit onto. We couldn't bear to part with her though and so these days, she hangs on the door handle in the living room.
