This is the book I'm reading at the minute. I normally love Dean Koontz and I've enjoyed the other Odd Thomas books but for some reason I'm really struggling to get into this one. I rarely give up on books though, so I shall persevere for a bit longer yet in the hope that it might get interesting eventually!

Hm. If you're anything like me, I wouldn't hold out much hope. I've read all the Odd Thomas books and they've got progressively worse as they've gone along. I've given up on them.

Ah, damn. I'm wondering whether it's going to be worth keeping going then if they're going to keep on getting worse...

It's a shame because the first one was such a good book - it actually made me cry!

Me too, which is why the follow ups have been so disappointing.

I LOVED the first Odd Thomas book, the rest have just gone down hill. I finished Odd Hours this last year and was bored through most of it. I listen to them audio because I like the reader, but I'm not sure I'll grab the next one.

That's pretty much what Sue said as well. I loved the first one and it actually made me cry, but I'm so struggling with this one. It's a shame!

It's called Going Too Far by Catherine Alliott.
I'm always reluctant to read chick lit by a writer I don't know and it takes me a lot of pick one up but it was very cheap in Asda lol.

The commentsd here made me giggle, it looks like the cat and dog are having the conversation (ah little things eh?) I'm currently reading the last Harry Potter book.
